Re: breastmilk sharing… I can see donating some breastmilk to some premie whose mother is too sick to pump, or perhaps for a short while if some mother needs to take medication that precludes her baby from nursing, but really, the mom that doesn’t have “enough” is a myth. Nursing is an on demand situation. If your baby needs more, nurse more. Your body will make more. I can proudly say that both my kids only received breastmilk, no formula, for a full year, even when I went back to work when they turned 6 months old (Pumping was truly a labor of love – I hated the whole process!)
I’ll be sure to check out your blog too. Too bad I don’t have my own to cross post to, I’d love to score a calendar to go with my Fan of the Month booty!
